Bill and I picked a perfect day for this adventure. The weather was a little cool, but sunny; and Heather and Juan were in Colombia and their bikes were available. We decided to ride to Jackson Avenue Coffee shop off the square Thursday morning, but by the time we got there, I was so hot I needed a cold frappacino. We tried to think of the best way to get to the square because almost every route there involves a HUGE hill to climb. But I don't think it would have mattered unless we cut through Eastern's campus to 18th street and then went north to Jackson Avenue. Anyway, we ended up walking up a hill or two. This bike-riding is a lot harder then it originally looked. Bill and I walk 5 miles almost every day and he still runs 5 miles several times a week, but bike-riding uses different muscles. We have a new respect for all those people who ride bikes now.

I forgot to mention that one of the reasons we chose JAC was because David Perkins (remember Barb and Terry's son?) has his photography on display and for sale there this month. Didn't buy anything, though. It would be too hard to cart a $250 picture home under our arms.
