Week 9 - "write a letter to the editor"

OK, here is my letter to the editor which was published in the paper this week.  The week was actually a pretty busy week for us.  I had to work at Dr. Esarey's office 4 days instead of my usual 2 days.  Most of the staff was traveling to Itasca for meetings and I was asked me to stay and work with another staff member who chose not to go to the meetings.  And on Thursday, we went to Springfield for a visit with my cardiologist.  Everything there was good and he doesn't need to see me for a full year :)  We then drove to Urbana where Dad spoke to a Rotary club about becoming involved in Youth Exchange.  The meeting was a dinner meeting held at a very nice country club, so it was a good ending to a busy day.
So, back to the letter.  On Monday I got home from work and Dad asked me to come look at a letter he had written for the paper.  Since he is technically writing  for the paper again (Looking Back and an occasional football game), he can't submit a letter to the editor.  He had written the letter and signed my name.  All I did was read the letter and hit SEND.  We will have a more exciting "adventure" next week.

  1. A very nice letter. I thought Cheryl wrote it at first.
Cheryl have you ever written a letter to the editor? I think it would be fun, even if the editor is no longer Bill.

  2. Jessamyn has a new idea for a letter to the editor each week. Unfortunately, we have to keep a low profile in these small communities. This was a nice, supportive letter, though, which would go over well anywhere.
